The first group were trained in MA-1 electronics at Lowry AFB, went to the 508 FTD at Geiger and stayed there in the 498 FIS until 1963 when Geiger closed down. By the summer of 1963 the F-106's and these MA-1 troops were at McChord AFB, but a few were scattered to other bases and units. As of Dec 1, 2020 Alfred Dethloff, Roy Usleaman, Gerald McCorkle and Marcel Chevillet were still living. The rest are unknown.

The second group are mostly MA-1; Gottshall, Spurlock Stucker and Davis for sure, and most likely the rest in that group were MA-1. They were already at Geiger in 1961 and were our mentors as we trained on the birds.

The third group, the promoted group, could have been other shops, none are for certain if MA-1 or not.
