Retired Colonel Joe Rogers (L) and retired Convair Engineer Joe Sylvia (R) reminiscing their F-106 days on 11 Oct 2003. Joe Rogers says "Hello to all my friends and hope you are all doing well". Colonel Rogers passed away on 6 Aug 2005. The Memorial Service announcement read:

Sir,
We are having a Memorial for Col. Joe Rogers at the Pacific Coast Air Museum on Sept 24th at 2:pm. We are located at the Sonoma County Airport, Santa Rosa Calif.
We would love to have all folks that Joe had touch in his years of flying to come to the Memorial. The Thompson Trophy will be displayed.
He will be buried at Arlington National in Washington on Oct. 27th 2005.
