F-106 Delta Dart 3-Ship takeoff filmed by Captain Eugene Maury Wade Jr from the back seat of an F-106B of the 71 FIS, 1 FW, Selfridge AFB, MI, September 1963. 8MM film digitized by his son-in-law Jim Rungee. Jim writes on YouTube in his upload of this video “My father-in-law, Eugene Maury Wade, Jr, was an F-106 pilot during the late 50s early 60s. He's full of a bunch of old stories from those days. A few years ago I came across a cardboard box of old 8mm movies in his attic, and sent them off to be digitized. To my great and pleasant surprise, besides some old family movies, he has footage from his days at Moody and Selfridge. 8mm movies didn't have sound, so I took a couple of the footages of him in a 106 and T-33 and put to music. I've not seen a formation takeoff taken from the wingman's view posted anywhere... I hope this brings back some memories...best experienced with headphones and larger computer screen.”
