The 456th at Castle attended William Tell 1961 with their brand new FY59 birds, including the squadron boss, Lt Col Price, who flew this bird. This is the earliest known instance of a standard UHF blade antenna (retro) fitted under the nose, replacing the worthless factory installation inside the fin cap. Note that the command stripes actually cover part of the intake lip.
