F-106A 56-0461 previously of the 5th FIS, and then an 'assignment' in the AMARC [AMARG} boneyard, unveiled at the Sawyer Museum in Sep 2006 painted in 87th FIS colors as 57-0231, Toro 1 the commanders aircraft. [Lani Duquette collection]

Lani Duquette writes on 16 Apr 2013 in Facebook:
Very historical and proud Minot AFB, ND, 5th FIS F-106A Delta Dart 56-0461 was restored and repainted to represent 57-0231 "Red Bull One" for 87th FIS at KISAFB, MI. Thank you maintainers at Minot for taking such good care of her. She has her original tail number stenciled under the trailing edge of both elevons. This is required by the USAF Museum. Quick question: Does anyone from the 5th FIS know the story of "Backman's Bumps" on the bottom of each wing? Share it with us if you know.
