F-106B 572516 NASA 816 in a Thunderstorm near the "Tidewater" area. Normally on the F-106, the strike would occur on the pitot tube in front of the nose radome and would exit through the wingtips (in this picture, the left wingtip) and rear of the vertical fin and rudder top.
