Buzz Sawyer writes: Last pilot: Jim "Zorro" Fairhurst. Before we transitioned to the QF-4 at Holloman in '97, we ferried our remaining sixes back to Tyndall. When Zorro landed, his right brake was locked. It didn't stay on the runway long. When it came to a stop, having made a 180 degree turn, the nose was broken and the battery was disconnected. He was trapped in the cockpit until the fire department could cut him out. Luckily there was no fire.
