F-106A 57-2480 of the 498 FIS with pilot Capt Bill Richardson. Photo submitted by Capt Richardson's nephew Bert Richardson. Bert's father and his brother Bill both flew the F-106. Capt Bill Richardson lost his life in Dec 1963 when ejecting from F-106A 59-0017 of the 5th FIS when his B Seat failed.
