F-106A 59-0141. With her 318th FIS markings removed 59-0141 takes off from McChord AFB, WA for the final time as the 20th F-106 retired from the 318th to AMARC in the Arizona desert. Unlike many of the other 318th F-106's 59-0141 would not be acquired by another squadron, rather she would spend 8 years in AMARC storage before being the 134th F-106 converted into a full-sized QF-106 target drone in 1991. Over the next 17 months she would fly 5 unmanned missions, before being shot down by a shoulder fired Stinger Missile.
