F-106A 59-0009 of the 498th FIS, 325th FW, McChord AFB, WA in 1963-64. Compelling evidence that the 498th did wear the 318th style Compass Rose aka Northstar tail flash. This aircraft served ONLY with the 498th Gieger Tigers at McChord, yet sports the Compass Rose and 325th FW shield on the tails.
