"Balls 2" and "Balls 6" were part of the test flight group while I was stationed at Tyndall in '76-'78. More than once the pilots came out in full pressure suits and were air-born for longer than the normal sorties. I wonder... Had a bunch of orange wiring added for their instrumentation, and orange marking on the wing tips and tail.
