F-106B 57-2507, NASA NF-106B N607N at the Langley Research Center being prepped to be cut-in half down the middle to create the NASA F-53 Wind Tunnel model in 1985 during its time with the Vortex Flap and In-flight Visualization Research project. It was Cut in half lengthwise so the left hand side could be mounted in a wind tunnel to test the vortex flap used on F-106B 57-2516 NASA N816NA.
