F-106A 59-0010 on display at the Aerospace Museum of California, McClellan, CA during the Open Cockpit event of the Sacramento Museum Day 7 Feb 2015. Over 5500 attendees (free admission) and the weather held off nicely so that the planes could be displayed in their 'open' state. 'Heathcliff' showed off well (as always) and even had a few F-106 related visitors (one was a former Six maintenance officer for the 84th FIS). One visitor (who had three great young sons with him was a former Russian Air Force (Tupelov 'Bear' pilot) pilot (who showed great interest in the Six and its 'Cold War' lineage (did say whether he had ever been intercepted by any ADC Sixes in his RAF career, but I infer he had). Actually a very, very interesting fellow (with well disciplined sons, too, kudos to him [Christopher T. Carey Collection, AEOLUS Aerospace (www.aerospaceca.org) ]
