F-106B 59-0165 photo provided by Doug Peck late 1960 or early 1961 at Hughes Aircraft Co. in Culver City where Doug was working at the time. 59-0165 got the first retractable IRSTS {Infra-red} installed there and then went on to Holloman AFB as an instrumented test aircraft where it remained as an AFLC aircraft till becoming an ADC asset in 1968 when it was assigned to Tyndall. In 1976 59-0165 was the personal aircraft of General "Chappie" James, CINC NORAD.
