This look-down view shows a comparison between a standard F-106A (left) and a proposed conceptual F-106C. The F-106X (C/D) Super Dart study featured a new intake configuration, canards, clear bubble canopy, and an uprated P&W JT4B-22 turbojet with afterburner, that extended the tail section.
