The Convair F-102B (F-106) 56-0452 Delta Dart at the Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) Edwards AFB CA. This was the second aircraft provided by Convair as per the 18 April 1956 Air Force finalized F-102B production contract with Convair. It was not a prototype, as per the contract, but was still dedicated as a test and evaluation bird, thus did not carry the 'YF' designation. But, it was still considered an F-102B via the FC buzz code even though it was well known the F-106 (FE) designation had been approved. It was powered by the YJ75-P-1 engine. Notice the original curved intake lips, which were later changed.
