F-106 DELTA DART

After spending damn near one year at Chanute AFB to be trained in the 3520-A classification, I was then transferred to an F-106 squadron at Dover AFB. Another 6 mos of study and OJT on the 106 was conducted so that I could pass the written and oral certification to obtain the 5 level classification.

After spending all this time learning the F-106, I was subsequently sent to my overseas tour in a F-102 squadron. Afterwards, I was sent to a B-66 training squadron in South Carolina, then to a C147 squadron in Dover, DE. I didn’t know a damn thing about the B & C systems!!! Am damn glad I got out.
