In March 2004 I got confirmation e-mails from two retired Convair Reps, Jim Day & Joe Sylvia. On 09 Jan 2007 I got an e-mail from Don Ward, a pilot involved with the flight simulation program. Both 57-2519 and 57-2529 were put in storage as NF-106Bs at McClellan AFB CA in the early 70s. In the mid 70s, it was decided to use the two NFs to repair crash damaged aircraft, so the NFs were declared surplus.
