28 Sep 59 - To 456th FIS Castle AFB CA 17 Oct 60 - To 71st FIS, 1st FG, Selfridge AFB MI 21 Feb 67 - To 71st FIS, 328th FW, Richards Gebaur AFB MO 28 Jun 68 - To 71st FIS Malmstrom AFB MT 19 Dec 68 - To 48th FIS Langley AFB VA 18 Jan 71 - Crashed. One of the afterburner spray bar nozzles broke during take off and burned through the inner and outer liner and it to the wing. The pilot Capt Stanley wanted to try to bring the plane back but was told to get out so he did. The plane went down in the glades near Rt. 1. The engine was found almost a mile from the crash site.
