F-106A 59-0069, Spring/Summer 2012, a 'vertically instrumented' bird, seen here repainted as ' round-eye' 186th FIS jet 57-2492, on static display at Great Falls, Montana. After leaving the Griffiss AFB display location where it retained it's authentic 59-0069 tail number, It had been first repainted as another 186th FIS jet 57-2463. Then sometime after 2004 it was repainted again as the current 57-2492. [Nathan Wilburn collection]
