United States Air Force Presents: The Hidden Crew, a 1964 U.S. Air Force recruitment promotional comic features art by Superman artist Kurt Schaffenberger. 32 pages, full color, standard comic book dimensions, slick cover, newsprint interior. The story: Lieutenant James Bilnor is called into action to deal with unknown emergency. While flying high and wondering if the emergency is a Russian attack or just a drill, he reminisces about the people that keep his plane flying, the hidden crew. He recalls having dinner at the home of Bill Everett, his intercept director technician's house. Everett tells Lt. Bilnor how his interest in electronics caused him to join the Air Force. Altogether, six support personnel are introduced, each of whom play a critical role in keeping Lt. Bilnor flying.
