F-106A 58-0779 in early 94th FIS markings at Selfridge AFB, MI in May 1960. Via Dave Menard from Marty Isham Collection. Robert Wegeman noticed the IR sensor and fairing have not yet been modded in, and the Inboard gear doors and all lower access panels are closed for the photo. Francis Ritchie was assigned at Selfridge from 1962-1967 to the 1st OMS servicing the 94th and 71st FIS's and he states this photo looks to be taken in what they called the "Cursory Area" near the fire station. In the background you can see the flight line shelters.

I was crew chief on 58-795 but before I got my own bird, I did work on 779 sometimes.
