I was an assistant crew chief with the 1st Maint. Squadron (1st Fighter Wing) at Selfridge from Dec '68 until May of '69, when we were blended into the 94th FIS for the TDY to Osan, Korea. I was trained under crew chief Sgt. William Fuller from New Jersey. Our Convair tech rep. was Floyd Pratt. I learned so much about the Delta Dart from these two fine gentlemen. I remember the nickname Major Gordon had among the crew chiefs, it was "Flash Gordon".
