Target Range Ducks
Barry M. Goldwater Air Force Bombing Range, Gila Bend Air Force Auxiliary Field, Gila Bend, AZ In the Fall of 2003, seven F-106s in storage at Davis-Monthan AMARC had their wings sawed off and were transported to the Barry M. Goldwater Air Force Range (formerly Luke Air Force Range) near Gila Bend, AZ. The range is also referred to as formally being the Gila Bend Air Force Auxiliary Field, which actually was a part of the range that served as an emergency landing strip and was near the center of the Barry M. Goldwater Air Force Range (formerly Luke Air Force Range) range complex, Tail numbers were: 57-2510, 58-0903, 58-0904, 59-0065, 59-0012, 59-0115, 59-0147 (572510, 580903, 580904, 590065, 590012, 590115, 590147).
