The cover of the 10 Apr 1970 'Foreign Technology Division, Air Force Systems Command' 'Have Drill/Have Ferry' evaluation report. The evaluation was rate the effectiveness of existing tactical maneuvers by USAF and USN combat aircraft against the MiG-21 Fishbed (Have Doughnut') and Mig-17 (Have Drill/Have Ferry). A direct result of this evaluation was a recommendation from ADC to “expedite fitting the internal gun (Vulcan M61A1 20MM Gun), redesigned canopy, radar warning and ECM equipment into the F-106”. F-106 flew 13 missions during Have Drill/Have Ferry Tactical Evaluations at Groom Lake in 1968. Read more at Have Drill/Have Ferry Tactical Evaluation. [Some info from Thornton D.
