LtCol Mark 'Foxy' Foxwell with his wife and two of their 7 children, early 80's. Last Commander of the Interceptor Weapons School IWS 10 May 1981 through Sep 1983. At that time the unit was already scheduled for deactivation, and the operations officer, JR Weinig, acted as commander until the unit was completely closed in 1984.when it closed in 1984. At the time of his command he was in fact a Lt.Col., however was promoted to Colonel and became D.O. of the 17th. Air Force and from there base commander at Tyndal A.F.B. until his retirement right after Desert Storm. Sincerely, Kevin R. Foxwell (brother)
