Larry wrote on 30 Aug 2013: I am Larry Snow and I flew the F-106 at Hamilton AFB CA, 84th FIS, Minot AFB ND 5th FIS, and Flight Check Pilot F-106 at McClellan AFB, CA. After 20 years in the Air Force, I had to retire being a reserve Officer. The F-106 aircraft is still the BEST. The flight of four was a fly by for a retiring Army General at San Francisco about 1970 time frame. I was lead in aircraft #020.

This photo reminds me of the day we were doing the same thing, over Golden Gate. I was in the slot when right over the bridge, heading east, a big red warning light on the canopy bow started flashing! Hydraulic Failure! I simply backed out, said good-by, and turned a wide, long base to land. The gear came down normally.
