I crewed 475 when I was assigned to the 539th FIS, 1965-67. I was just a young 18 year old when I first got assigned to the 539th. The F-106 was a good airplane but not as good as the Thud, F-105. Thuds were the best aircraft I ever maintained in my 24 year air force career.
