F-106B 57-2516 with a AN/ALR-23 Tail Warning Receiver (TWR) of the F-111. 57-2516 was loaned to General Dynamics Fort Worth TX between 3 April 1964 and 27 February 1965 for F-111 development and test support of Terrain Following Radar, Tail Warning, Stick Grip development and more. Joe Sylvia, Convair Tech Rep was told about these programs by Convair/GD Corporate Personnel. From Marty Isham Collection From Joe Sylvia, 3 May 2016: On one of 57-2516’s TFR Test Runs when he came over a mountain range and was supposed to go down he suddenly went negative G’s and got numerous warning lights. Analysis later determined the pilot was trimming in the 'wrong direction'. Needless to say it got the pilots attention and he aborted the rest of the flight.
