F-106A   58-0774

Hill AFB Museum, Hill AFB, UT

This is 58-0774 in the Hill AFB Museum, which was rolled out for display in June 04.  Restoration was done by the 419th Fighter Wing's Combat Logistics Support Squadron (Reserve CLSS unit) at Hill AFB UT (I used to be assigned the 2951 CLSS, later re-designated 652 CLSS).  The aircraft is displayed in the early markings of the 456th FIS, Castle AFB, Atwater CA.  Pat Perry's website has a lot of photo's of the restoration project.

E-mailed by Mike B. (71st FIS crew chief, Malmstrom 1970-72), Dec 2003:
F-106A #58-0774 is currently outside on the flight-line at Hill AFB, Utah undergoing restoration for future static display at the Hill AFB Museum.  Text and photo at www.hill.af.mil/museum/photos/coldwar/f-106.htm. I have walked around the aircraft and observed the maintenance that is taking place but because of flight-line security no photography is allowed.  Once it is transported to the museum for static display, I'll take several photos for you.
